Vacation Bible School

VBS is quickly approaching and we are preparing to travel to Athens to join Paul's Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth.  VBS will be held from July 15-19th, 2013 from 9am to Noon.  We want you to be a part of this exciting weeklong journey.  The church will be transformed into an ancient city as children fill the rooms with creativity, curiosity, and courage.  You don't have to be a member of FBC Marion to join us - We want you in Athens this summer.  Register Now

Sunday School

Formation in faith is one of the highest priorities of First Baptist Church. We are passionate about educating children and helping to raise them in a life of faith. This is the greatest gift that we can pass on to coming generations. On Sunday mornings we offer curriculum-based, age-specific Sunday School classes taught by exciting and dedicated persons of faith. The children get to interact with their teachers in a small classroom setting and get to learn some classic and some not so classic Bible stories. They also begin to explore the concept of faith and what following Christ means in their lives.

We offer the following classes:

Nursery Care
PreSchool
Kindergarden to 2nd Grade
3rd to 6th Grade

Mission Friends

To embrace the church’s dedication to God’s mission, our Wednesday night time focuses on both global missions and on gaining biblical foundation and biblical intimacy. This is provided through a mix of hands-on missions, mission education, and bible education. These groups allow children to learn from adults who are dedicated to the materials that they teach.

We offer the following mission groups:

PreSchool
1st to 3rd Grade
4th to 6th Grade

These groups meet on Wednesday nights at 6:05pm.

All children’s groups and Sunday School classes meet in the children’s building. This is the second building behind the sanctuary.
